I am the U.S. History teacher for Shepherd High School. I have been working for the district since January 2016 and I am very excited to be here! Along with U.S. History I also teach Accelerated Placement U.S. History as well as U.S. History Remediation. My ultimate goal is to help every one of my students find some form of passion in history... along with passing their STAAR test and AP Exam.

I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Arts Summa Cum Laude in History with a minor in English. Before I came to Shepherd, TX I worked with a private high school in San Antonio, TX for 2 1/2 years, which is where I discovered my passion for teaching.

Along with teaching, I also am the Student Council Adviser, which is an organization that promotes school pride as well as student pride within Shepherd High School.

Sadly, I do not have a phone in my classroom, so I am best reached by calling the direct line to the high school. My conference period is during 8th Period which is from 2:40-3:30. I also religiously check my emails, even during the weekend, therefore email is the fastest way to get in contact with me.

Thank you so much for giving me the privilege to teach your child and please let me know if I can help in anyway possible.
